Join us for an evening of Restorative Yoga and Reflexology by candlelight with Jennifer Melton on Friday December 15th.
Prepare to allow your mind and body to fully release in this slow paced practice surrounded by warm candlelight. We'll blend props with the asanas to enhance your relaxation, while giving your heart and sympathetic nervous system a chance to slow down, leaving you feeling fully restored.
While you are becoming relaxed and grounded in the postures, Jennifer will begin to integrate foot Reflexology. Reflexology is the use of finger, thumb, and hand techniques to produce an effect elsewhere in the body, through specific reflex points on the feet. There are nearly 15,000 nerves in your feet, making reflexology not only beneficial to your internal organs and glands, but also an overall relaxing experience. Some of the benefits Reflexology may include: relaxation, increased blood flow and lymph circulation, relief from pain and anxiety, and stimulation of internal organ activity and functions.
Pre-register at www.uptownyogamhc.com to guarantee your spot as space is limited. The cost for this class is $20.
Jennifer earned her 200 hour yoga certification in 2015 and is currently working towards her 500 hour designation with Asheville Yoga Center. Jennifer has studied with Leslie Kaminoff, Stephanie Keach, Kimberley Puryear, Michael Johnson, Joe Taft, Sierra Hollister, and Ryan Conrad. She enjoys teaching various styles of yoga, keeping a balanced blend of yin and yang.
